B2030+ Annual Conference 2026 Featured ReUse
The ReUse project was proudly represented at the 6th Battery 2030+ Annual Conference, held on 7–8 May 2026 at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. The event brought together leading researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and young scientists from across Europe to discuss the future of battery innovation and sustainable energy storage.
As part of the conference programme, Claudia Stauch (Fraunhofer ISC), coordinator of the ReUse project, presented the project’s ongoing work and recent progress in the field of direct recycling of LFP batteries, addressing both production scrap and end-of-life batteries.
The presentation sparked valuable discussions with participants from across the battery ecosystem and highlighted the increasing interest in scalable, circular approaches to battery recycling. A key takeaway from the event was clear: the battery recycling community is ready to move beyond laboratory-scale concepts and toward real industrial implementation, with projects like ReUse actively contributing to this transition.
The Battery 2030+ Annual Conference featured presentations from industry leaders, high-level keynote sessions, young scientists’ activities, poster pitches and poster sessions, and extensive networking opportunities across the battery value chain.
Held at one of Europe’s leading technical universities, the conference provided an inspiring environment for collaboration and exchange on next-generation battery technologies and circular value chains.
The ReUse consortium would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Battery 2030+ initiative for organising such a successful and engaging event, as well as to all sister projects, collaborators, and participants who took the time to discuss ideas, exchange experiences, and explore future opportunities together.
For those interested in learning more about the many presentations, posters, and scientific contributions showcased during the conference, the full abstract book is available on Battery2030+ website.
The ReUse project looks forward to continuing these conversations and strengthening collaboration across Europe’s growing battery innovation ecosystem.
