The magazine explores the organisations, technologies and initiatives driving the transition towards more sustainable, resilient and low-carbon industries. The ReUse project has been featured in the Winter 2024 edition of European Energy Innovation magazine, a respected quarterly publication focused on energy and sustainability across Europe. The piece highlights ReUse’s pioneering work in battery recycling and circular economy solutions, showcasing collaborations with European partners to tackle environmental and economic challenges of sustainable energy storage.

This article describes how ReUse pioneers a direct recycling method for low-value LFP batteries by combining low-temperature thermal conditioning with advanced mechanical sorting. This chemical-free approach preserves the structural integrity of the LFP crystal matrix and recovers critical materials like lithium, graphite, aluminium, and copper at high rates to establish a sustainable closed loop for European batteries.

From Waste to Value: FUTURE4BATT Unites Europe’s Battery Circularity Champion
