ReUse presented at TRAWEBA event
On 28 October 2025, our partner KYBURZ represented the ReUse project at the one-day event “Battery… what now?” organised by TraWeBa in Saarland, Germany.
The meeting brought together stakeholders from across the battery value chain, the energy sector, and manufacturing industries for a day of exchange and collaboration. Participants explored a wide range of topics, including battery storage, agricultural machinery, charging solutions, warehousing, and repair practices, all with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
During his presentation, David Flaschenträger introduced the ReUse project’s concept, which focuses on developing a circular process to recover, purify, and regenerate materials from end-of-life (EoL) LFP batteries, enabling their reuse in new battery production while significantly reducing environmental impact.
“The meeting allowed us to connect with various players along the battery value chain and research to discuss current trends, challenges, and opportunities for direct battery recycling. ”
The event was organised by TraWeBa, a national initiative in Germany aimed at building and strengthening a cross-industry, research- and business-oriented hub along the battery value chain, from cell chemistry through production, recycling and second use.
ReUse’s presence at the “Battery… what now?” event emphasises our intent not just to develop technological solutions, but also to engage with the entire battery value chain and to collaborate with both research and industrial actors across Europe.
