Battery Innovation Days 2025

The Battery Innovation Days (BID) are back for their fifth edition — and this year’s event promises to be one of the most dynamic yet. Taking place on 2–3 December 2025 in Graz, Austria, and online, BID is the premier platform for European stakeholders to exchange insights, explore synergies, and accelerate innovation across the entire battery value chain.

The event is jointly organised by Battery 2030+, the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), and the Batteries 1st and 2nd IPCEIs, and will be hosted by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG). This hybrid format allows participants from across Europe to take part in the discussions — whether in person or virtually.

Batteries are a cornerstone of Europe’s green and digital transitions, and BID 2025 provides a unique opportunity to discuss how research, innovation, and collaboration can help meet the EU’s zero-emissions targets. Over two days, participants will hear from leading experts in battery materials, cell design, manufacturing, recycling, and circular economy approaches, and engage in discussions that shape the future of sustainable energy storage.

Attendees will have the chance to:

  • Network with industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe.

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and emerging battery technologies.

  • Celebrate excellence with the Battery Young Research Award, recognising outstanding contributions from young scientists.

  • Explore exhibitor booths showcasing cutting-edge innovations and opportunities for collaboration
