Excellence Seminars Continue Under the BATT-BRIDGE Initiative

The renowned Battery2030+ Excellence Seminars are continuing their mission to showcase groundbreaking battery research, now hosted under the BATT-BRIDGE initiative. As always, these sessions offer a exceptional opportunity for researchers, industry professionals, and battery enthusiasts to learn directly from leading experts in the energy storage sector.

The upcoming seminar takes a deep dive into battery dynamics at the atomic level – a crucial perspective for driving next-generation performance improvements. Standard macroscopic evaluations often miss the fundamental processes occurring inside materials. By examining atomic-scale redox behavior, ion transport, and local structural evolution, scientists can unlock key insights that directly dictate overall electrochemical performance and lifespan.

On October 15, Professor Saiful Islam from the University of Oxford will present his latest findings on integrating advanced modeling techniques with experimental methods to investigate emerging battery materials. His talk will focus on two major areas:

  • High-Capacity Cathodes: Insights into Li-rich layered and disordered rocksalt compounds.

  • Solid-State Batteries: Understanding ion conduction mechanisms and interface dynamics within solid electrolytes.

The online session takes place on October 15 from 14:00 to 15:30 CEST and will be moderated by Patrik Johansson. Interested participants can register online to secure their spot. The webinar will take place via Zoom, and you will receive the Zoom link in the confirmation email when you register!
